SM City, in its commitment to uphold their social obligations takes pride in their partnership with COMELEC (Commission on Election) Bataan as the venue for the BSK filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) for the upcoming BSK Election for Balanga City.

Officials of SM City Bataan said that they recognize the importance of the BSK election in shaping local governance at the grassroot level underscoring the vision and mission of the aspiring candidates to truly serve their constituents.

SM City Bataan was flooded as early as 9am with aspirants for both barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan positions, with more or less two hundred candidates on the first day of filing, August 29. Filing of COCs will continue up to Sept. 2, 2023.

COMELEC officials emphasized the importance of adhering to the guidelines and requirements for the COC filing, urging the candidates to familiarize themselves with the needed documents for a seamless filing process. Aspiring candidates particularly the Sangguniang Kabataan, mostly first timers said the venue is just right, very convenient, making them feel comfortable even if they have to queue.
